You'll create models and simulations of cutting-edge pulsed power electrical and mechanical systems using multi-physics and electromagnetics solvers. You'll work with a multidisciplinary team to optimize system design and validate models against real-world data. This role offers the chance to impact the future of inertial fusion energy and clean power generation.

๐ŸŽฏ What You'll Do

  • Work with pulsed power design engineers to generate models of systems and components.
  • Create, optimize and validate models of complex physical processes and phenomena.
  • Design experiments for validation of models against real-world data.
  • Enhance workflow from concept to final print based on simulation optimizations.

๐Ÿ“‹ Requirements

  • B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • 2+ years of experience with field solver/particle-in-cell/circuit simulation codes
  • Must be a U.S. citizen or national, permanent resident, refugee, or asylee

โœจ Nice to Have

  • Proficiency in COMSOL, CST and/or LT-SPICE
  • Proficiency in solid-modeling software like SolidWorks or NX
  • Proficiency with Python and/or MATLAB
