Description

You will own the development, implementation, and testing of thermal control systems for spacecraft, including active and passive systems like pump fluid loops and heat pipes. You'll work with lead engineers to design these systems, plan thermal testing campaigns, and ensure manufacturability from prototype to production.

Requirements

• Familiarity with pressurized systems (valves, pumps, accumulators, heat exchangers)
• Experience with thermo-mechanical instrumentation (temperature sensors, pressure sensors, flow meters)
• Knowledge of integrated electronics systems and secondary satellite structures
• Ability to work in a fast-paced startup environment

Responsibilities

• Design active and passive thermal control systems using heat transfer and mechanical equations to size lines, pumps, accumulators, cold plates
• Develop and execute thermal cycle and thermal-vacuum testing campaigns
• Partner with design engineers to ensure manufacturability of prototypes
• Design build flow and finalize process for transition to production
• Coordinate with integrated electronics and secondary satellite structures teams
