Requirements
- 2+ years of commercial HVAC service or maintenance experience
- EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, controls, and post-installation troubleshooting
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, schematics, and manufacturer specifications
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record
- Ability to work in diverse environments (rooftops, mechanical rooms, outdoor conditions)
Responsibilities
- Perform equipment start-up and commissioning of newly installed HVAC systems
- Conduct scheduled preventive maintenance
- Diagnose and repair HVAC equipment issues such as electrical faults, refrigerant leaks, or airflow imbalances
- Verify that control systems and safety devices are functioning correctly
- Work with project managers and installation teams to resolve post-installation issues
- Document all service and maintenance work performed
- Provide clear communication to customers about system performance, recommended improvements, and service needs
- Maintain compliance with safety standards, codes, and company procedures
- Participate in training to stay current with HVAC technologies, diagnostic tools, and energy efficiency practices
