Join PandaDoc's Document App Track to build and maintain mission-critical backend services that power document import/export (PDF, DOCX, etc.) at scale. You'll work in a 5-person team, tackle scale-related technical challenges, integrate AI-powered features, and ensure high system reliability.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience as Software Engineer
• Experience with production systems and on-call responsibilities
• Strong experience with Java (17/21) and Spring Boot 3
• Solid understanding of microservices, distributed systems, Kafka
• Experience with relational databases (SQL, performance optimization), ideally PostgreSQL

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and deliver features as part of a 5-person team
• Keep production services stable (maintain SLO), react to alerts and incidents
• Overcome scale-related problems in distributed systems
• Find and address systematic issues to maintain low time-to-change
• Work on integrating AI-powered features with dedicated AI teams
