💼 About This Role

You'll work on the Relevance and Personalization team at Airbnb, building end-to-end ranking algorithms and ecosystems. You'll develop cutting-edge AI technologies across the search ranking product stack, leveraging rich signals from structured, sequential, image, and text data. This role offers the chance to collaborate across teams and publish research.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Build and improve machine learning models for product and business use cases.
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners to identify opportunities and refine requirements.
• Develop and operate ML models and pipelines at scale, including batch and real-time.
• Leverage ML tools infrastructure for fast development and low-latency serving.

📋 Requirements

• PhD in ML/AI or 2+ years industry experience with MS/BS.
• Strong programming in Scala, Python, Java, or C++.
• Deep understanding of ML best practices and algorithms like neural networks and deep learning.
• Exposure to 3+ of: TensorFlow, PyTorch, Kubernetes, Spark, Airflow, Kafka, Hive.

• Proven ability to choose the right ML method within constraints.
• Experience with architectural patterns of large-scale software applications.
• Ability to lead multiple directions across teams.
