💼 About This Role

You'll manage and support relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) as part of a core infrastructure team at a leading AI/ML asset manager. You'll take ownership of day-to-day operations, backups, performance, and automation, working closely with systems and storage teams.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Administer and monitor relational databases in production and development
• Perform backup, recovery, patching, upgrades, and security hardening
• Support incident response, root cause analysis, and database recovery
• Automate database operations and collaborate with infrastructure teams

📋 Requirements

• Strong hands-on experience with PostgreSQL (preferred), MySQL, or Oracle
• Solid grasp of daily DBA tasks: backups, replication, security, user management
• Basic experience with performance tuning (medium level strongly preferred)
• Experience with configuration management (Ansible) and automation/deployment tools

✨ Nice to Have

• Exposure to containerized environments (Docker, Podman, Kubernetes)
• Familiarity with Ceph RBD or similar distributed storage
• Experience with cloud-based DB offerings (AWS RDS, Azure Database, GCP Cloud SQL)
