💼 About This Role

You'll join the Spaces team at Upbound to build and operate multi-tenant control plane management software. You'll drive scalability improvements for thousands of control planes while contributing to the open-source Crossplane project.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Build and operate Upbound Spaces in production, troubleshooting multi-tenant SaaS environments.
• Develop features in high demand by customers, delivering new functionality.
• Investigate and debug complex issues in customer environments and control planes.
• Participate in on-call rotation to support Upbound Cloud incident response.

📋 Requirements

• Experience operating production cloud services at scale with monitoring and incident response.
• Strong debugging skills across distributed systems with observability tools.
• Experience building and operating Kubernetes controllers and interacting with the API server.
• Ability to work directly with customers to resolve complex technical issues.

• Experience with Crossplane or similar control plane frameworks.
• Contributions to open-source projects in the cloud-native ecosystem.
• Experience with multi-cloud or hybrid cloud deployments.
