Description

Lead IEM's Design-to-Order engineering organization, overseeing a team of electrical and mechanical engineers to deliver customized switchgear solutions. You will drive strategic improvements, optimize workflows, and ensure on-time delivery of defect-free designs while collaborating across manufacturing, quality, supply chain, and field service teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical discipline.
• Minimum 15 years of progressive engineering leadership in a Power Product Manufacturing Environment.
• Proven track record leading large engineering organizations (100+ engineers) in design-to-order or engineer-to-order environments.
• Deep understanding of electrical switchgear design, power distribution systems, and industry standards (IEEE/ANSI, UL, CSA, NEC, IEC).
• Experience modernizing engineering design methods/tools and implementing PLM, CAD, or engineering data management systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic direction and leadership for the Design Engineering organization.
• Oversee execution of hundreds of concurrent customer projects.
• Establish, monitor, and report KPIs for on-time delivery and defect-free designs.
• Transform custom engineering workflows into standardized, repeatable solutions using Configure-to-Order building blocks.
• Partner with Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Field Service to ensure designs are manufacturable, serviceable, scalable, and cost-effective.
