Description

You will lead the development of critical operational tools for Motional's commercial autonomous vehicle ride service in Las Vegas, bridging the gap between operations and engineering. You'll build high-impact fleet management and orchestration systems, provide real-time technical support, and shape the tooling roadmap to ensure technology meets real-world needs.

Requirements

• 8+ years of professional software engineering experience designing and building distributed systems
• Strong product mindset with ability to architect software solutions from operational needs
• Experience supporting production systems with customer-centric mindset and strong communication
• Proficiency in Golang or Python for web services and scripting
• Experience building cloud services using SQL and NoSQL databases

Responsibilities

• Lead coding and delivery of frontend and backend services for fleet management and orchestration systems
• Act as primary engineering presence at Las Vegas AV operation center, providing real-time support
• Interview and onboard future hires, mentor junior engineers, define collaboration workflows
• Partner with Operations, Product, and TPMs to translate fleet challenges into technical requirements
• Drive vision for fleet management systems, identify problems to increase efficiency and reduce manual toil
