💼 About This Role
You'll lead the statewide launch and coordination of Kentucky's PoWER maternal health initiative, a transformative community-based model addressing maternity care deserts. You'll guide strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and performance management to improve outcomes for pregnant and postpartum Kentuckians. This role is part of the Rural Health Transformation Program with a hybrid work environment.
🎯 What You'll Do
- Lead development of statewide vision and implementation plan for PoWER initiative
- Assess and strengthen readiness for geographic scaling across counties
- Build and steward partnerships with state agencies, health systems, and community organizations
- Design and direct performance management process including OKRs and outcome monitoring
📋 Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in public health, health administration, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in maternal health or community health programs
- Strong knowledge of perinatal care coordination and social drivers of health
- Proven ability to lead cross-agency maternal health initiatives
✨ Nice to Have
- Medical degree with board certification in obstetrics/gynecology or family medicine
- Experience with maternal health programs including CHWs, doulas, or telehealth
- Certification in quality improvement or healthcare management (e.g., CPHQ, PMP)
