Description

As a Materials Intern at Neuralink, you will contribute to developing high-density, reliable neural interfaces for brain-computer interfaces. You will work closely with a multi-disciplinary team to build FEA models, test mechanical properties, and optimize materials for next-gen products.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly, fabrication, or test equipment calibration
• Experience with mechanical design using Solidworks or similar CAD software
• Familiarity with FEA principles for analyzing mechanical tests
• Experience with standard mechanical testing equipment and ASTM standards
• 2+ years hands-on experience with mechanical testing

Responsibilities

• Build and refine FEA models to predict mechanical response and optimize material selection
• Evaluate and test mechanical properties of implant materials under adverse conditions
• Operate high-precision testing instruments including DMA and mechanical oscillators
• Assemble and calibrate components for Accelerated Lifetime Testing systems
• Collaborate on designing custom fixtures and high-throughput testing equipment
