Description

You will lead the technical strategy for an agentic catalog platform that powers product information across Instacart's marketplace, combining distributed systems, data pipelines, and AI/ML-driven automation. You'll scale and mentor a team of 40+ engineers while partnering with Product, ML, Data Science, and Operations to improve catalog accuracy, coverage, and freshness.

Requirements

• 15+ years software engineering experience building large-scale platforms
• 7+ years leading engineering managers and multiple teams (30+ engineers)
• Experience with large-scale data pipelines and cloud environments (AWS/GCP)
• Proven delivery of ML/AI features in production systems
• Strong cross-functional collaboration experience

• Lead, organize, and scale multi-team engineering org (40+ reports)
• Deliver platform reliability and quality with defined SLAs
• Partner cross-functionally to prioritize roadmaps and ship features
