Description

You will own the prototype lifecycle of new electromechanical subsystems for Agility's humanoid robot Digit, from initial analysis and design to assembly and testing. You'll work in a small, interdisciplinary innovation team to bridge current capabilities and future robotic behaviors.

Requirements

• BSME + 5 years, MSME + 3 years, or PhD + 1 year relevant industry experience
• Experience in electromechanical system design including mechanisms, actuators, thermal management, sensor/electronics integration, or structures
• Proficient in mechanical CAD (PTC Creo preferred) and GD&T
• Experience supporting test design, implementation, and reporting
• Practical fabrication experience with a portfolio of projects

Responsibilities

• Design durable components using CAD software meeting load, industrial design, manufacturability, and lifetime requirements
• Develop and build custom test fixtures for component and system validation
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Mechanical, Electrical, Software, and Manufacturing teams
• Participate in design reviews and maintain documentation of iterations and test data
• Investigate and troubleshoot mechanical failures and implement corrective actions
