As a BAYADA Hospice volunteer, you'll provide companionship and support to clients and their families through patient visits, legacy projects, pet therapy, virtual activities, and bereavement support. Your efforts will make a meaningful difference in the lives of others while you gain free training and professional development.

Requirements

• Ability to read, write, and effectively communicate
• Pass a criminal background check as per state requirements
• Meet all state requirements for volunteers

Responsibilities

• Patient visits with companionship, reading, life review, exercise
• Legacy projects to help families remember loved ones (arts, cooking, music)
• Activities at senior living facilities
• Virtual projects from home or around town (singing, art, crafts)
• Bereavement support and vigil companionship
