Description

You'll play a key role in bringing Giga's electrical infrastructure projects to life, translating customer and utility requirements into site plans and electrical designs. You'll work cross-functionally to drive projects from concept through deployment, ensuring systems meet performance, safety, and cost goals. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has the technical grounding to handle medium-voltage design conversations.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience as utility engineer, distribution engineer, or technician
• Strong electrical design competency with MV distribution systems and substation design
• Proficiency in Autodesk drafting tools
• Excellent communication and cross-disciplinary collaboration skills
• Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience)

Responsibilities

• Draft and iterate on site plans and electrical plans using Autodesk
• Collaborate with utilities, engineers, suppliers, and contractors on design requirements
• Support development of MV and LV component specifications and layouts
• Manage site design packages for multiple concurrent projects
• Identify cost and lead time reduction opportunities through design optimization
