Description

As a Waste/UPW O&M Technician Intern, you'll support daily operations and maintenance of critical water and wastewater systems in a semiconductor facility, gaining hands-on experience with advanced treatment technologies while working in a safety-focused environment. You will assist with troubleshooting, monitoring, and documentation to ensure compliance and operational reliability.

Requirements

• Exposure to semiconductor, data center, pharmaceutical, or mission-critical environments
• Basic knowledge of water/wastewater treatment processes (preferred but not required)
• Enrollment in or recent completion of a technical program (mechanical, environmental, or related field)
• Mechanically inclined with strong interest in hands-on technical work
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety

Responsibilities

• Support daily operations of UPW generation and distribution systems (RO, EDI, ion exchange, UV oxidation, etc.)
• Assist in operating and monitoring wastewater treatment systems (neutralization, pH adjustment, biological processes)
• Perform routine rounds, record system parameters, and escalate abnormal conditions
• Assist with preventive and corrective maintenance on mechanical equipment (pumps, valves, filters, etc.)
• Support water quality monitoring, sampling, chemical handling, and CMMS documentation
