Description

You will conduct thorough inspections of propulsion components, large structures, and mechanical assemblies to ensure quality standards are met. You'll use precision tools for dimensional inspections, identify process improvements, document non-conformances, and perform final walkdowns with closeout photos. This role is critical to embedding quality into the production process for Terran R rockets.

Requirements

• Experience in quality inspection of aerospace or similar hardware
• Proficiency with precision measurement tools (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
• Ability to review engineering drawings and specifications
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills
• Comfortable working second shift (3:00 PM - 1:30 AM) and occasional overtime

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-process and final inspections on propulsion components, large structures, and mechanical assemblies
• Use precision hand tools for dimensional inspections on flight hardware
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to quality initiatives
• Review hardware requirements and determine pass/fail status, documenting non-conformances
• Take closeout photos of integrated assemblies and perform FOD inspections using borescopes
