Description

In this role, you will own complex mechanical subsystems for Anduril's drone products from concept to full production, collaborating across disciplines to optimize for speed, mass, manufacturability, and cost. You'll perform analysis, lead design reviews, build prototypes, and support customer demonstrations.

Requirements

• 2+ years of mechanical/design experience in a professional setting
• Proven ownership of a product from concept through production
• CAD skills and ability to make high quality engineering drawings
• Proficient in hands-on prototyping (machining, shop tools, welding, soldering)
• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals in structures, fluids, thermal, and mechanisms

Responsibilities

• Own complex mechanical subsystems from concept to full rate production
• Gather requirements, perform trade studies, hand calculations, and FEA
• Lead design reviews and obtain cross-disciplinary buy-in
• Build prototypes, define and execute test plans, iterate
• Perform root cause investigations for hardware failures
