Description

You will design and build flight hardware for Starship, including primary structures and propellant tanks, owning the end-to-end process from concept through integration and test. Collaborate with peers to balance mass, cost, and capability while working hands-on alongside a world-class production team.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or aerospace engineering
• 1+ years of engineering experience designing, analyzing, or building structures (internships/school projects qualify)
• Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals
• Ability to perform trade studies using first principles
• Experience building hardware or working at a nimble engineering organization

Responsibilities

• Develop design concepts and size vehicle structures based on flight loads
• Collaborate with vehicle system peers to balance mass, cost, and capability
• Create detailed CAD models in NX for components and assemblies
• Build finite element models and perform structural analysis
• Conduct structural testing on subassemblies and airframe sections
