💼 About This Role

You'll lead the integration of full-stack autonomy hardware onto wheeled Unmanned Ground Vehicles at Field AI. Your work will directly enable real-world autonomous operations in complex environments. This small, fast-moving team builds field-ready systems already deployed globally.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Architect and integrate sensing/compute payloads for UGV autonomy.
• Direct vehicle power distribution, CAN/Ethernet networks, and wiring harnesses.
• Lead mechanical integration, ruggedization, and field-test readiness.
• Manage vendors, procurement, and scale hardware production.
• Mentor engineers and run design reviews.

📋 Requirements

• B.S./M.S./Ph.D. in Mechanical, Electrical, Robotics, or Computer Engineering.
• 5+ years experience with field robotics platforms (UGVs, wheeled/off-road vehicles).
• Proven experience leading hardware programs through field deployment.
• Proficiency in NVIDIA Jetson, ROS/ROS2, and sensor integration (LiDAR, cameras, IMU/GNSS).

• Previous work on UGVs like Warthog, Husky, or Jackal.
• Active government/defense security clearance.
