Description

You will lead in-house machining capabilities for Starship components, own the relationship between engineering and production, and provide Design for Manufacturability analyses to optimize designs for manufacturing and assembly.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or physics
• 5+ years of machining experience
• Experience taking products from R&D into production
• Available to work long hours and weekends
• Ability to lift up to 25 lbs unassisted

Responsibilities

• Lead development and expansion of in-house machining for Starship components
• Conduct Design for Manufacturability (DFM) analyses on parts and assemblies
• Foster feedback loops with design, testing, and integration teams
• Oversee quality issue investigation and resolution from inspections
• Spearhead machine shop equipment procurement, installation, and maintenance
