Description

You will support the safe operation of thermal energy storage, boiler, and balance-of-plant systems during installation, commissioning, and routine operations. This hands-on role involves performing daily inspections, executing maintenance tasks, and helping maintain plant systems to deliver zero-carbon industrial heat and power.

Requirements

• High school diploma, technical or vocational training, or equivalent military experience
• 1+ years of experience in field operations, industrial environments, or laboratory settings with control systems (DCS, SCADA, or PLCs)
• Working knowledge of health and safety regulations including hazardous energy and chemical handling
• Ability to perform routine inspections, system startups/shutdowns, and emergency response procedures
• Strong communication skills and willingness to learn from experienced operators

Responsibilities

• Support safe operation of thermal energy storage, boiler, and balance-of-plant systems during installation, commissioning, and operations
• Perform daily rounds and inspections, identify off-normal conditions, and communicate findings
• Execute standardized operational and maintenance tasks including preventive maintenance through CMMS
• Assist with plant startups, shutdowns, system checks, and emergency response activities
• Perform hands-on testing such as oil and water chemistry sampling and analysis
