Description

You will perform construction observation, maintain field documentation, and assist project managers on a variety of construction projects. Work includes reviewing plans, measuring quantities, and ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget.

Requirements

• B.S. degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or related field required.
• PE License required.
• 6+ years of experience in a construction role is desired.
• Prior experience working with cities, counties, or local municipalities preferred.
• Excellent communication and intrapersonal skills.
• Strong organization and ability to perform services efficiently and within budgets and schedules.
• Ability to work outside on foot for extended periods of time.
• Willingness to be flexible with variable work shifts during the work week.
• Ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
• Good driving record and valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction observation of construction activities and follow applicable project procedures.
• Maintain a field book in accordance with project procedures.
• Perform measurements of construction work performed and quantity calculations of pay items.
• Prepare Inspector's Daily Reports and other project documentation.
• Report to the project supervisor on the progress of work, including technical issues and deficiencies.
• Review plans, specifications, and submittals relating to assigned work.
• Provide design or other professional assistance to project managers.
• Maintain company-owned vehicle or other equipment assigned for use on the project.
• Review and assure project supervisor of the adequacy of budget and schedule.
