Description

You will provide in-house legal advice on privacy, data-sharing, and EU AI Act compliance, draft and negotiate commercial agreements with information law clauses, and oversee data protection documentation such as data processing agreements and privacy impact assessments. You'll guide compliance reporting and internal policy revisions to align with UK and EU privacy laws.

Requirements

• Good academic credentials and post-qualification experience (2-8 PQE preferred)
• In-house legal experience or strong law firm experience supporting large corporations
• Strong commercial understanding and excellent interpersonal skills
• Right to work in the UK and eligible to practice as a lawyer in the UK

Responsibilities

• Provide in-house legal advice on privacy, data-sharing, and EU AI Act compliance
• Draft, negotiate, and review commercial agreements with information law clauses
• Draft and advise on data protection documentation (DPAs, data transfer agreements, DSARs, PIA)
• Guide new compliance reporting and data tracking requirements
• Oversee revisions to internal codes of conduct for UK and EU privacy laws
