Description

You will coordinate remote hands for hardware troubleshooting, manage vendor equipment receipts, create data center diagrams, travel occasionally for break/fix, and maintain inventory of spare parts in a high-density production environment with 100+ POPs globally.

Requirements

• 8+ years of on-prem large scale data center experience
• Knowledge of structured cabling standards (CAT6, SFP+, QSFP+, LC, SC)
• Experience with RAID, IPMI, and hardware break/fix
• Ability to travel occasionally (passport required)
• Experience with shipping and receiving equipment to remote data centers

Responsibilities

• Coordinate remote hands for hardware troubleshooting (PSU, memory, drives, cables, motherboard)
• Create data center diagrams and rack elevations
• Work with vendors to receive and verify new equipment per BOM
• Maintain an updated inventory of spare parts and accessories
• Coordinate with internal teams on Jira projects and data center hardware related projects
