💼 About This Role

You'll be the primary authority on non-sequential ray tracing and stray light mitigation for high-energy DUV laser systems. Your work will directly protect optical components and ensure safe, efficient operation of our fusion power plants. You'll collaborate with experts across optical design, opto-mechanics, and materials science.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Perform non-sequential ray tracing to analyze stray light and ghost reflections.
• Identify and mitigate high-fluence hot spots and fringing effects.
• Implement mechanical baffles and beam dumps in non-sequential software.
• Write custom scripts to automate ray trace simulations and process data.

📋 Requirements

• B.S. or M.S. in Optical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in stray light analysis and non-sequential modeling.
• Expert-level proficiency in FRED software.
• Experience writing scripts to automate optical analysis (Python, MATLAB, FRED script).

✨ Nice to Have

• Ph.D. in Optical Engineering or related field.
• 8+ years in stray light for high-energy laser or DUV applications.
• Experience with Inertial Confinement Fusion or high-fluence beam delivery.
