Description

You will assist the Chief Regulatory Product Counsel in evaluating the legal and regulatory impact of new business lines and advising on federal commodities and securities laws. You'll identify system changes needed for new regulations, craft specifications for technology staff, and handle regulatory inquiries from SEC, FINRA, CFTC, and NFA.

Requirements

At least 5 years post-J.D. experience at a law firm, regulatory agency, exchange, or broker-dealer with FCM advisory experience
Experience handling regulatory and enforcement matters
Member in good standing of any U.S. state bar or DC
High comfort level with computers and technology applied to business and regulatory problems
Outstanding oral and written communication skills

Responsibilities

Evaluate legal and regulatory impact of new business lines or offerings
Advise Compliance and business lines on federal commodities and securities law
Identify necessary system and procedure changes for new regulations
Craft written specifications for programmers and technology staff
Draft agreements, disclosures, account documentation, and website materials
