Description

You will join cross-functional development teams building tools, APIs, and integrations for Remote's HR and Payroll products. Work on meaningful challenges that enable global employment, with freedom to organize your work and life. You'll lead projects, contribute to the shared codebase, and help redesign engineering workflows with autonomous agents.

Requirements

• Strong engineering fundamentals with track record of shipping production systems
• Practical experience designing or adopting agentic/automation workflows
• Ability to think in systems: define specs, break down plans, verify quality
• Experience with Postgres (or similar) and CI/CD (GitLab, GitHub, Jenkins)
• Experience with functional programming languages (Elixir, Erlang, Scala, etc.) preferred

Responsibilities

• Lead development of major team-scoped projects and participate in cross-team initiatives
• Provide feedback and suggest solutions to product problems
• Maintain understanding of team domain and contribute to codebase
• Mentor and provide guidance to other engineers
• Implement interfaces with performance, accessibility, and API design in mind
