Description

You will support mission-critical R&D efforts in a high performance computing environment, working directly with users to solve complex modeling and simulation challenges and strengthen HPC software workflows in a fast-paced on-site lab setting.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI clearance with CI Polygraph
• Bachelor's degree in STEM
• 10+ years professional software engineering experience
• ~5 years developing modeling and simulation software in heterogeneous, multi-platform environments
• Proficiency in Fortran, C, and/or C++, Bash and Korn shell scripting, strong Linux experience

Responsibilities

• Support HPC users and technical staff in a R&D environment, solving modeling and simulation workflow issues across heterogeneous, multi-platform systems
• Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot Linux-based software in HPC environments, including existing code bases and distributed applications
• Partner with Technical User Support team, team lead, Chief Scientist, customers, and site staff to resolve technical problems and improve user effectiveness
• Contribute across software lifecycle: requirements, design, coding, documentation, testing, and maintenance
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and scientists, lead code reviews, and create training materials and onboarding content
