You'll design and build foundational banking services and APIs for AngelList's platform, powering $171B+ in assets. Your systems will be consumed by multiple product teams, enabling reliable money movement and account management. This is a high-leverage role shaping the financial infrastructure of the startup economy.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and maintain foundational banking services and APIs.
• Own core platform primitives: accounts, transactions, ledgers.
• Build reliable integrations with banking partners and payment networks.
• Define service contracts and data models for cross-team consumption.

📋 Requirements

• 6+ years building backend or full-stack web applications.
• Deep experience designing APIs and services for other engineering teams.
• Strong background in financial systems, payments, or banking integrations.
• Experience modeling complex business domains in relational databases.

• Experience with double-entry accounting systems or general ledger design.
• Background in regulated financial products or fintech infrastructure.
