Description

You will lead the Server Ingress Security team, rearchitecting MongoDB Server's ingress networking to build the Atlas Network Protection layer, a set of security-critical services that harden MongoDB's pre-authentication attack surface. You will manage a team of engineers, own the team's roadmap, and lead the design and implementation of production-ready security services in Rust.

Requirements

• 3+ years managing a team of software engineers
• 8+ years building production-quality systems software with large backend/compiled codebases, ideally in Rust
• Strong technical judgment in security-sensitive or networking-adjacent domains
• Experience designing, writing, testing, maintaining, and operating mission-critical software systems
• Customer-first mindset and ability to cross team boundaries

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of engineers, managing hiring, growth, compensation, and performance
• Lead design, implementation, and operation of production-ready security services in Rust
• Own the definition and execution of the team's 12-month roadmap
• Work with Product Management and Engineering leadership to prioritize and deliver features
• Handle time-sensitive security incidents and customer escalations
