💼 About This Role

You'll coordinate support for major permitting projects and obtain non-major permits for steelmaking coal mines in the Elk Valley. Your core impact will be ensuring regulatory compliance while fostering relationships with internal teams and government agencies. This role offers a compressed work week with alternating Fridays off in the scenic Elk Valley.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Coordinate permit applications for non-major projects and major mine development
• Act as key point of contact for environmental permitting for mine-based positions
• Assist with coordination of consulting teams and environmental baseline programs
• Coordinate health and safety requirements for field programs, including field time

📋 Requirements

• Degree or diploma in Forestry, Biology, or Environmental Science
• Minimum three years of experience in environmental management or regulatory field
• Experience preparing and/or coordinating permitting applications in resource development
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Project, PowerPoint, Word)

✨ Nice to Have

• Knowledge of BC legislation: Mines Act, Water Sustainability Act, Environmental Management Act, Forest Act
• Experience with impact assessment work
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License
