Description

As a Quality Specialist at SpaceX, you will work with partners to improve inspections and workflows, assist the quality team, and collaborate with design and manufacturing teams to enhance product quality for Starlink Aviation. You will manage non-conformances, conduct inspections, and support FAA compliance.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in engineering or technical field, or 4+ years hands-on experience in quality, inspection, or manufacturing.
• Experience with AS9100, ISO9001, or other QMS.
• Experience with root cause analysis, QMS auditing, and statistical analysis of quality metrics.
• Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed.
• Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

• Review and approve specifications, MBOM, engineering manuals, work orders, and build documentation for completeness, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
• Develop and implement actions to improve quality metrics like first pass yield and nonconformance trends.
• Manage non-conformances through MRB process, including root cause evaluation and corrective/preventive actions.
• Conduct in-process and final inspections of aviation parts using drawings and CAD models.
• Support development and maintenance of QMS policies, internal audits, and FAA conformities.
