💼 About This Role

You'll own and evolve Axle Health's cloud infrastructure on AWS, driving security, scalability, and developer velocity for a fast-growing healthcare platform. Your work will directly impact the reliability of systems that power in-home care for hundreds of thousands of patients. This role offers high ownership and autonomy at a well-funded startup backed by Y Combinator and Pear VC.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own and evolve Axle's cloud infrastructure on AWS
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines with integrated security controls
• Lead infrastructure-as-code initiatives using Terraform
• Implement and enforce HIPAA-compliant security practices
• Manage container orchestration with Docker/Kubernetes

📋 Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in DevOps or site reliability engineering
• Deep expertise with AWS including IAM, VPC, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, CloudWatch
• Strong infrastructure-as-code experience with Terraform or CloudFormation
• Proven track record implementing security controls in CI/CD pipelines
• Hands-on experience with container security (Docker/Kubernetes hardening)

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience at a healthcare technology company or compliance-heavy industry
• Familiarity with Datadog or similar observability platforms
• Exposure to penetration testing coordination or red/blue team exercises
• Experience building secrets management systems with HashiCorp Vault or AWS Secrets Manager
