💼 About This Role

You'll build and lead Intersect's gas trading, scheduling, and balancing platform, ensuring reliable fuel supply for a growing fleet of islanded gas-fired generation assets. You'll manage daily burn volatility, execute financial hedging strategies, and coordinate with origination on long-term gas purchases and sales. This role sits at the center of our commercial operations, managing swing risk and pipeline constraints to protect margin.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Stand up and lead physical and financial gas trading operations
• Manage daily and intraday gas scheduling across pipelines
• Design and execute hedging strategies using NYMEX futures, options, and basis swaps
• Optimize spark spreads and cross-commodity hedges with power trading

📋 Requirements

• Extensive experience trading and scheduling natural gas in volatile markets
• Proven expertise in NYMEX futures & options, basis swaps, and swing swaps
• Experience managing basis and transport risk in volatile regions like Midcon or Waha
• Experience supporting thermal generation or high-variability burn assets
