💼 About This Role

You'll shape the data foundation powering our Direct Air Capture technology, owning pipelines, models, and analyses that turn operational data into actionable insights. Partnering with cross-functional stakeholders, you will build and operate production data systems with durable architectural decisions. This is a ground-floor opportunity at a climate technology startup where you will have major impact.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Own and evolve Aircapture's end-to-end data platform using Ignition and AWS
• Set technical direction for the data stack, evaluating tools and defining standards
• Standardize and enforce engineering workflows across the data stack
• Maintain and support on-prem server systems connected to the data stack

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, Data Science, or equivalent experience
• 6+ years building and operating production data systems
• Solid experience with AWS services (RDS, IAM, VPC, S3)
• Strong SQL and Python expertise with solid engineering fundamentals (Git, CI/CD)

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with industrial data systems (Ignition, SCADA, time-series)
• Experience with BI tools or climate/energy domain
