💼 About This Role

You'll build and own the infrastructure for validating autonomous features across planning, perception, and control at Zipline. Your work will directly shape how we validate autonomy performance at scale and enable safe deployment of our self-flying aircraft. This is a foundational software engineering position, not a QA role.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Build infrastructure for validating autonomous features and system performance.
• Design simulation tools and scenario generation for large-scale testing.
• Develop custom validation tools for autonomy components.
• Create scalable automated solutions for running and analyzing validation tasks.

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years of experience building software for simulation, testing, or safety validation.
• Proficiency in C++, Rust, or C.
• Hands-on experience with simulation systems for robotics or autonomous systems.
• Experience building tools or infrastructure used by other engineers.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with high-fidelity simulation or scenario generation frameworks.
• Experience with large-scale distributed systems (e.g., Kubernetes, AWS).
• Familiarity with autonomy stacks (planning, perception, control).
