💼 About This Role

You'll lead the design of electronic subsystems for kidney stone treatment devices at a medical device startup. Your work will directly impact patient outcomes through innovative sensing, controls, and communication systems. This hands-on technical leadership role spans hardware and embedded software across electromechanical boundaries.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Develop electronic subsystems for medical device sensing and control
• Translate system requirements into schematics and PCBAs
• Define electrical architectures including power distribution and diagnostics
• Design low-noise analog and mixed-signal PCBAs
• Specify custom cable harnesses for medical environments

📋 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering (Master's preferred)
• 8+ years experience in electronic subsystem design for regulated products
• Proficiency in Altium for PCBA design
• Experience with STM32 and embedded C/C++ development

✨ Nice to Have

• Knowledge of IEC 60601-1, IEC 60601-1-2, and ISO 14971
• Experience with closed-loop control concepts (PID tuning, sensor calibration)
• Prior ownership of hardware from concept through sustaining
