Description

You will perform home health visits for adult and geriatric patients in Northern Virginia, providing speech therapy evaluations and treatments as part of a multi-disciplinary team. This per diem role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on patients' ability to remain at home.

Requirements

• Current Speech Language Pathologist license in Virginia
• Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech from ASHA or equivalent educational/work experience
• Solid computer skills; prior experience with electronic medical records preferred
• Ability to work per diem in home health setting

Responsibilities

• Make home visits to clients in designated geographic territories
• Perform evaluations for speech, language, communication, or swallowing difficulties
• Develop and revise treatment plans based on evaluations and physician orders
• Educate patients and family members on rehabilitative care for independent living
• Document observations and interventions using a touch pad tablet
