💼 About This Role

You'll lead a small engineering team at Shipd, a gamified data collection platform, scaling it from 6 to 12-15 engineers. You'll stay hands-on with coding and system design while building the structure and culture for our next growth phase. This role is key to delivering on multi-million dollar contracts and shaping the technical direction of a rapidly growing startup.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Hire 5+ engineers and build interview processes.
• Balance short-term delivery with long-term platform investments.
• Write code, review design docs, and make architecture decisions.
• Build lightweight processes to improve team coordination.

📋 Requirements

• 7+ years of software engineering experience.
• 3+ years managing engineering teams.
• Hands-on with React, Next.js, and TypeScript.
• Experience scaling teams in high-growth startups.

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience scaling from 5 to 20+ engineers at Series A/B.
• Familiarity with marketplaces or two-sided platforms.
• Background in ML pipelines or developer tooling.
