Bereavement & Volunteer Coordinator

Description
You will provide compassionate bereavement support to families and caregivers for up to 13 months after a patient's passing, and manage all aspects of the volunteer program including recruitment, training, and supervision.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced or theological degree preferred
- Master's in Social Work with clinical grief counseling qualifications a plus
- 2+ years in healthcare setting; 3-5 preferred
- Hospice and/or volunteer coordination experience strongly preferred
- Demonstrated understanding of grief response and ability to counsel individuals/groups
Responsibilities
- Coordinate grief counseling needs and services (one-to-one, groups, ongoing follow-up)
- Plan and evaluate bereavement program development and annual services
- Provide bereavement support to hospice personnel and supervise interns
- Recruit, train, and evaluate volunteers; maintain personnel files and statistics
- Participate in budget preparation for program development
