You'll build and improve multi-stage CV pipelines for clinical image processing, owning accuracy and reliability end-to-end. Your work directly impacts patient safety in hospital supply chains. This role sits at the intersection of AI API orchestration and production Python backend engineering.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Build multi-stage CV pipelines for object detection and LLM extraction
• Own pipeline accuracy and drive improvements via prompt engineering
• Design persistence schemas for auditable extraction data
• Maintain async Python backend services for downstream workflows

📋 Requirements

• Production experience with multimodal LLM APIs and structured-output prompting
• Comfort with image preprocessing techniques like contrast normalization
• Experience with machine-readable code decoding (barcodes, QR codes)
• Strong async Python skills with FastAPI, Pydantic v2, and PostgreSQL

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with open-vocabulary or zero-shot object detection
• OCR or document understanding pipelines for structured data extraction
• Durable workflow orchestration with Temporal, Prefect, or Airflow
