💼 About This Role

You'll own production hardening and infrastructure operations for Securly's Rust web filtering proxy, ensuring reliability for millions of students. You'll define what 'production-ready' means and enforce that bar. This role offers ownership of the on-premise Docker proxy appliance in school networks.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Define and enforce production readiness baselines for the Rust proxy.
• Design and execute load tests to identify performance bottlenecks.
• Own canary rollout configuration and CloudFormation-based scaling policies.
• Maintain and harden the on-premise Docker proxy appliance.

📋 Requirements

• Rust with ownership, lifetimes, async/await (Tokio), and systems-level networking.
• 4+ years of production-level Rust experience.
• Systems/network programming including TCP stream handling and socket programming.
• Docker/containerization for image building, distribution, and minimal image design.

✨ Nice to Have

• C++ experience for business logic conversion.
• Redis performance under high load and failure mode handling.
• CORS and proxy transparency experience.
