You'll lead engineering analysis and response to novel events encountered by Waymo's autonomous fleet, blending software engineering with SRE principles. Your work directly improves the robustness and adaptability of the onboard software system. 🎯 What You'll Do

• Organize and participate in oncall rotations for driving issues in the field.
• Harden software, develop playbooks, and improve oncall metrics.
• Lead analysis and response to novel fleet events.
• Contribute to Onboard software architecture for robustness and debuggability.

📋 Requirements

• Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related field
• 10+ years leading large-scale production software systems
• 5+ years as an organizational leader managing people
• Experience organizing and running oncall rotations

• Experience leading hybrid hardware/software production systems
• Experience with modern deep ML / large scale models
