💼 About This Role

You'll be a key member of the Data Platform Engineering team, building and optimizing Airwallex's next-generation data platform. You'll drive the design of large-scale distributed data processing systems and contribute to tools that enhance data engineering productivity across the company. This role offers high visibility and the chance to tackle complex, large-scale data challenges.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design and implement data processing systems on the new data platform
• Optimize data storage, processing, and interfaces for performance
• Develop and automate batch/streaming data pipelines at scale
• Define shared data engineering tool standards and provide guidance to junior engineers

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years of relevant data engineering experience
• Proficiency in Kotlin/Java/Scala/Python/SQL
• Experience with distributed systems and data architecture
• Strong knowledge of real-time/batch processing systems

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience with Kafka, Data Lake, Spark, Flink
• Knowledge of DBT, Spring Boot, Hadoop, BigQuery, Snowflake
• Experience working with data at PB scale
