Description

You will join the Compiler Team to transform spreadsheet interactions into optimized SQL queries, building core systems that enable fast, scalable analytics on cloud data warehouses. You'll design compiler infrastructure, apply optimization strategies, and contribute to both Rust backend and TypeScript frontend foundations.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience engineering high-quality software systems
• Demonstrated success building and maintaining complex infrastructure or core platform services
• Deep understanding of compilers, algorithms, and SQL optimization
• Passion for teamwork, technical ownership, and raising the engineering bar
• Experience in an iterative, high-cadence environment

Responsibilities

• Tackle core challenges at the intersection of data modeling, query compilation, and interactive analytics
• Design, build, and maintain compiler infrastructure transforming spreadsheet operations into optimized query plans
• Apply advanced optimization strategies for performance across query workloads and data architectures
• Contribute to backend (Rust) and frontend (TypeScript) foundations for end-to-end workflow optimizations
• Collaborate with engineers and product stakeholders on designs, code reviews, and architectural decisions
