💼 About This Role

You'll evolve Supabase Edge Runtime, an open-source Rust-based host for Deno isolates, and implement monitoring, alerting, and OpenTelemetry tracing to improve latency and reliability. You'll work closely with Deno and other open-source teams to push compute and data to the edge.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Evolve Supabase Edge Runtime in Rust
• Implement monitoring and OpenTelemetry tracing
• Work with Deno and open-source teams
• Participate in on-call rotation for production health
• Improve features like scheduled functions and WebSockets

📋 Requirements

• 5 years backend or systems engineering experience
• Strong fluency in Rust and TypeScript
• Experience with V8 Isolates or Deno
• Experience operating infrastructure at scale (Kubernetes, AWS, Cloudflare Workers, Redis)

✨ Nice to Have

• Experience building developer-facing CLIs or front-end tooling
• Background in edge computing platforms
