Description

You will develop and modify mechanical designs for aero-engine components, applying Model Based Definition (MBD) methodology and engineering principles to solve challenging problems and support technical reviews.

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical design of gas-turbine or turbo-machinery components
• Minimum BS/B.Tech in Mechanical or Aerospace engineering
• DoD Secret clearance required and willingness to maintain it
• Working knowledge of CAD/CAM in Siemens NX Teamcenter environment
• Understanding of GD&T (ANSI Y14.5) and experience with MBD methodology

Responsibilities

• Develop or modify designs for aero-engine components based on product specifications and manufacturing capabilities
• Execute mechanical design projects for gas turbine externals (cases, harnesses, piping, brackets, ICDS)
• Apply Model Based Definition (MBD) methodology
• Capture design system requirements from customer and incorporate into component design
• Support technical substantiation and present at technical and program reviews
