Description

You will contribute to the Automation Platform, a large-scale conversational AI platform at Airbnb, collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance backend systems and improve customer service experiences for hosts and guests.

Requirements

• 3+ years of software development experience in service-oriented architectures and backend development.
• Expertise in workflow optimization and backend systems with scalable and flexible architecture.
• Proficiency in crafting backend systems focusing on technical quality, efficiency, and resilience.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills.
• Passion for agile development, system optimization, and team productivity enhancements.
• Bachelor's and/or Master's/Ph.D. degree in Computer Science or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the Automation Platform, a large-scale conversational AI platform.
• Automate provisioning for internal human agents and AI agents.
• Contribute to Airbnb-wide initiatives (e.g., Services, Experiences, multi-region resiliency).
• Partner with Product, Data, Science, Operations, and engineering teams to drive success metrics.
• Collaborate cross-functionally on backend systems and AI prompt effectiveness.
• Contribute to full development cycle: design, implementation, testing, experimentation, deployment.
• Participate in code and design reviews.
• Optimize system availability, performance, and scalability.
