💼 About This Role

You'll own the systems that move money to a global fellow workforce at Handshake AI, including payout generation and disbursement. You'll also build Trust & Safety infrastructure like KYC, fraud screening, and time-tracking audits. This role is for engineers who treat reliability as a first-class design constraint.

🎯 What You'll Do

• Design payout and money-movement systems on Payment Service Providers
• Build Trust & Safety stack: KYC, sanctions, fraud screening, audits
• Own operator tooling including Pay admin dashboard and ledger
• Lead schema design, migrations, and backfills across Postgres

📋 Requirements

• 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
• Strong system design fundamentals for reliable, auditable systems
• Deep PostgreSQL proficiency and data modeling skills
• Strong backend skills in Ruby on Rails and/or TypeScript/Node

✨ Nice to Have

• Prior experience building production payments or money-movement systems
• Background in Trust & Safety, fraud, or KYC/AML
• Experience with event sourcing or audit-log architectures
